FL Trip, Part V (Last one!)

Grandpa Steve got to meet Emma for the first time! :)
Emma and Grandma cuddling. Emma's laughing at Grandpa. :)
My kids cannot keep their hands off each other. Harry LOVES to make her giggle, so needless to say, this is the best family picture we got!
The whole family!
When we got on the plane to fly home, Harry says, "Daddy goes HERE" and climbed right up in the cockpit! The poor pilot couldn't stop laughing, Harry was so positive that he belonged there. That and he was still eating his chicken nugget!

And this is what we came home to. MORE SNOW!! On April 30!! Can you believe that???

FL trip, part IV

On Sunday, we headed down to Pompano Beach (near Ft. Lauderdale) to see Grandma and Grandpa Butterfield. They were there visiting some friends, and we thought it would be great to get to see them! Harry had a wonderful time visiting with them, swimming in the ocean, and splashing in the kiddie pool at the hotel. Emma also had fun and it was her first time meeting Grandpa Steve! :) Harry checking out the BIG waves!! He got swept over a few times, so we had to watch him very carefully since he has no fear of the water and holds his breath very well.
Emma was NOT happy in the baby pool.
Harry and Gramma in the kiddie pool.
What a stud!
Emma decided that swimming was okay once she saw how much fun Harry was having and Daddy promised to hold on to her at all times! :) I think this one's going to be much more high maintenance than Harry was..... ;)

FL trip, part III

These pictures are from our beach day in St. Petersburg. We rented a hotel on the beach and relaxed for Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. This was EXACTLY what I wanted out of our vacation- sun, sand, and a beach towel! :) View from our hotel. Yup, that's the gulf!!
Harry was SOOO excited to go to the beach!! He loved the waves and kept saying, "More waves, please! Oh, look, more waves!" And they just kept coming.... He also asked me where the penguins were- I wasn't quite sure how to answer that one!
My feet in the sand. Yup, I'm happy!
This is "Superman, the Cool." That's Harry's new name for himself. He's learned how to "pretend" this week, so we've been Superman, the Cool; a bird with wings; a turtle that swims; and a shark with teeth.
Emma was excited, too!Jay and Ems on the beach. She got SO mad when her swimsuit got wet.

Harry found "sheshelfs."Emma chilling in the sand. Harry and I swimming in the ocean. The "Chubby Legs Gang!"

FL Trip, Part II

Yay! We're in Florida!!!
This is a leafy sea dragon, they're my favorite at the aquarium. Harry doesn't care though.
Harry in the "sheshelf."
Cute picture of the penguins that Jay took. (The one in the middle is a stuffed one!)
First time dancing with her daddy- he even let her stand on his feet!Harry and Kelsey on the trampoline. He had SOO much fun playing with her all day on Saturday!

FL Trip, part I

We're HERE!! :) And boy is it as beautiful as we remembered... The plane ride went reasonably well, Harry says "no more belt-time," but there weren't too many tears.
The kids held hands the whole way from Orlando to Tampa. Seriously.
We got to our friends, the Howard's, and Harry immediately fell in love with their puppies again. Kenai and Sunny are such sweeties, they put up with him so well the whole time we were there.
Even Emma loves the puppies! :)
Harry and Kelsey swimming in their pool. Thanks again to the Howards for allowing us to "invade" their home for a few days! :)
Harry at the penguin show at the aquarium. We used to have a membership here and come all the time, and he still loves it there!
Harry at the touch tank. He kept trying to pick up the starfish to take home with him!
Harry by the "big sharks!"
We met up with our friends the Enriques' to go to Busch Gardens yesterday. This is Harry and Acacia riding the dragons. He loved it!!
This picture won't turn for some reason, but this is Jay and Jacque riding Sheikra, the new floor-less roller coaster with a HUGE vertical drop. They're the last two on the left in the front row. :)

Harry rode the boats at Busch Gardens, too. Acacia is in the one behind him. Harry kept saying, "Isa turn the wheel, turn the wheel Isa," which is a line from Dora. :)

Race for the Cure!!!

Today was the "Race for the Cure!" We showed up at 8:30 am and got ready to do our 5k. It was quite a bit colder than we had expected, about 34 degrees while we were walking. We met up with our friends, the Aikman's, on the road and had a great time with them. They have a little girl Annika, who's about 2 weeks younger than Harry, and a new little boy, Cole, who is about 2 months old. We definately were the "stroller brigade" but we had a great time. Michelle/Cole, Rob/Annika, and Jay/Emma
Emma in the SNOW! Yup, it started snowing about halfway through the race. I can't hardly believe that it's the end of April and still snowing here. I might as well have stayed in MN!
Harry ran out of m&m's at the end of the race and was very upset.
The whole crew!

Harry, the golfer. Or maybe caddy?

Harry has discovered sunglasses. Today, he got himself all trussed up with his shoes, sunglasses, and his lunch box. He was very upset that he doesn't have a watch. :)
Emma got sunglasses today for our trip to FL on Weds. She knows she's pretty!!
Harry found some golf clubs at Wal-mart for 4 dollars the other night, so we took them home. However, he has NO interest in using the clubs, he just likes to trail the "bag" around behind him. Whatever!
Trying to hit the ball...
And we'll just go for a walk, now.... Anybody need a caddy?

Emma has discovered the cats. She is absolutely in love with Lola. It's one of the few things that makes our crabby, sick little girl happy right now. Jay figured out that if he cuddles Lola, Emma will sit and stare at her and coo for at least 15 minutes. :)
