Humpty Dumpty and WiggleWorm

We've swaddled both kids from the time that they were teensy. Harry decided he didn't want to be swaddled anymore at about 3 months, and Emma still loves it at 4 1/2 months! However, she loves to wiggle (just like her brother!) and can't seem to stay IN her swaddler! She actually wiggled out of her pants, her socks, and her blanket during her nap yesterday. She seems to think she's hilarious, also! :) We've been so blessed to have such wonderfully happy babies who love to sleep!

Harry learned about Humpty Dumpty at "school" yesterday. He goes to a "learning playdate" at his friends Thomas and Joshua's house on Tuesdays. I didn't realized how much he'd retained until he told Auntie Katie on the phone yesterday all about Humpty Dumpty. I figured I'd try and get it on video, and this is what we ended up with!

My little Broncos...

I took the kids out for a walk on Saturday. I figured since Ga-ga had a hockey game that night, the kids could wear their Bronco hats. And Harry ALWAYS wears his jersey on game days! Sadly, the team got a bad break on Saturday night and lost 3-1, but they had a wonderful season of 23-4. Go Broncos!!! This is Harry telling Emma to kiss him. Can you tell how thrilled Emma was??? hehe...
He was excited to go outside!!

"Yeah, I'm handsome. What's your point?"

Emma thought getting all bundled up was hilarious!

Daddy put a bow in Doodle's hair to make her brown outfit look a little more girly. I can just see her thinking, "Uh, Daddy, this isn't how Mommy does it!"

Race for the Cure!!!

Jay and I both are signed up to do the 5K - with strollers!! Should be interesting!! We're not planning on fundraising, but I thought I would give everybody the opportunity to donate if they chose to. :) Wish us luck!!

Komen Eastern Washington Race for the Cure®
Race Date: April 20, 2008
Dear Friends and Family,
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the Komen Eastern Washington Race for the Cure® on April 20, 2008 in the fight against breast cancer. One in seven women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime and the more we raise, the more the Eastern Washington Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our own community and support the national search for a cure.
Click here to visit my personal page and pledge your support.
Please join me in the fight by pledging in support of my participation in the Race or contributing generously to the Komen Eastern Washington Race for the Cure®. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in Komen Eastern Washington Race for the Cure® and national breast cancer research. It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause - you can make a donation online by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. If you would prefer, you can also send your tax-deductible contribution to the address listed below. Whatever you can give will help! I truly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you so much for your time and support in the fight against breast cancer! Every step counts!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Butterfield

More Firsts- Carrots, School, and a Bikini!?!

Emma had carrots today. She absolutely loved them! You'd think she'd have liked the bananas more, but I guess my little one likes her veggies. :) Yay!
Harry had his first day of school today. His friends' (Thomas and Joshua) mom started a "Learning Playdate" at their home and we're going to learn letters and numbers and all those fun things. Harry had a blast and we learned the letter B today. As you can tell, he's full of Black paint in his hair and on his cheeks.

Harry and his friends are going to the pool again tomorrow, and I'm getting ready to let Emma swim, so I figured she should try on her bikini from Auntie Lisa. It has little ruffles on the butt and all around the top- it's absolutely the cutest thing! She was posing and giggling the whole time she wore it!! :)

A Little Comparison...

I did nakey-butt pictures of both kids at about 4 1/2 months, so I thought I would post them and see how they compare!! Can you see how chunky Harry was? And how much more hair my Emmers has?? I thought they looked pretty similar, but there's definately big differences!

First Times.... Hockey and bananas!!

Emma had her first solid food (bananas) this weekend. She wasn't real thrilled about it, but she seemed to do okay after the first few bites! As you can tell, she didn't like the taste of them at first!!!!
But then she was a happy girl!

Harry finally got the chance this weekend to test out the skates that he got for Christmas. As you can tell, he was NOT very happy that his feet kept sliding and Mommy kept forcing him to skate. By the end, he would push the chair over to the bench, but that was about it! We'll keep trying!
This is Harry saying, "Harry go out dere, Harry go out dere, Harry go out dere." On Repeat.

More pictures and a Harry video

Harry went to the pool on Weds. with Thomas and Josua. He did such a good job "fimming" and even went under the water by himself!!! No water wings in the baby pool anymore!!!! :)

The weather is really warming up (like 40's) so Harry and I dug out his trike and tried to learn to pedal. He has a hard time going all the way around, he likes to pedal with one side and then reverse and then pedal that side again. We'll get there!! :)

And for the video.... I'm not sure if I did this right or not, so let me know if it works!!!

This is Harry NOT playing soccer. Jay tried to get a video of him riding his bike, playing soccer, or just about anything, and all he wanted to do was run around in the driveway. Can you hear the clip-clops of his little boots???

Pebbles

Emma's kicking the door here. Who does this remind you of???
Emma wore her first ponytail yesterday. This one's kinda blurry, but she looks SO cute! The ponytail kind of loses it's effect when the rest of her hair stands up just as high.... ;)

Schweitzer Trip

Our friends from FL, the Howards, surprised us this weekend and hopped a jet to come skiing. Gotta love those free AF flights! Chuck, Lynne, Kelsey and Maddie were here for the weekend and we were lucky enough to get to ski with them on Saturday and Sunday. They rented a condo for the weekend and Jay, the kids, and I crashed it on Saturday night. We had a blast skiing and hanging out with them. The powder was awesome and it was SO nice to get to see them all again! Hopefully it won't be so long between visits next time! :) Schweitzer is pretty!!
Maddie and Harry- he was SO mad he couldn't come skiing!!

Lynne took this awesome picture! :)

This is my "action shot." Jay says I don't have enough action to have an action shot, but there's snow spray in this one!!!

Yup, I got the van stuck. Right outside Jay's office. It was spectacular!! :)
