So... what've we been up to??

Figured I'd do an "update in pictures!"

Harry picked out a sweater vest for school today- how handsome is he??? :)

watching the Wizard of Oz and eating apple cake

It's finally fall here! It's been in the 50's all week and we're loving it! :)

Glow in the dark skeleton pj's

No, this isn't Speed Racer, it's Harry testing out his ski gear for this season!

We picked way too many apples at Greenbluff this year... 4 pie fillings, 4 pies, 3 apple crunches, and an apple cake later, Mommy is done with apples for a LONG time!! LOL

We took the kids on "dates" last weekend, Emma and I went for dinner and shopping. She's wearing her new Strawberry Shortcake corduroy jacket from the JBF sale. Harry and Jay went to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" in 3D. Jay said Harry was hilarious, he kept saying "its like they're coming right AT me!!??" So cute!

We had some excitement around here yesterday. The kids and I ran into the bx after the gym yesterday morning and while we were walking to the car to leave, Emma had a meltdown and threw herself down on the concrete. She ended up knocking herself unconscious when she hit the back of her head. I rushed her to the ER (where thankfully my friend Rhenda came and picked up Harry!!) where they did a CT scan and ran some tests and checked her out. She was only out for about 10-15 seconds, but it was the scariest moment in my life as a mother thus far. Apparently she only has some bruising, no bleeding or swelling, so that was great news. However, we still have to watch her VERY closely for the next few weeks to make sure she doesn't hit her head again, as a close proximity repeat concussion would be really really dangerous to her. I woke her up a few times last night to check on her and make her talk to me, which was exhausting to me, but well worth it, of course. She woke up the first time and asked me, "My boofday party, NOW?" I'm guessing she must have been dreaming about her upcoming party!! Goofy girl! She seems to be almost back to normal today, Jay was able to cut his trip short and came home this afternoon, which is a big relief to me.
Hopefully the next few days are nice, quiet, and uneventful....

I can't imagine how scary that must have been. I'm so sorry you all had to go through that. Thank goodness Emma is okay!
